OCR for os X?

Anyone know of a cheap (read free) ocr program. I have an HP scanner, the web site says it ships with an ocr but does not work in os X. They post a work around to install it in classic, but i can't seem to find the CD.

The one that comes with Canon scanners (I know you have hp !) is good (?) old (for sure) Omnipage 8 SE, a Classic application; as far as I remember, I got it in a package with the drivers for LiDe 20-30, which is free on their homepage (or via Version Tracker).
