Hi,
My wife has a 15 GB iPod with the software update v.2.1 installed (just a little bit of weirdness after the update, but it all went away after a reset of the iPod -- so far so good).
We've just started playing with the Belkin voice recorder, and I noticed that when a new memo has been recorded, it will sync (via iTunes) to the first Mac that it's connected to. After that, the memo can't be transfered to another Mac. The only way I've found to work around this problem (so far) is to manuallyy copy the voice files from one computer to the other, and then drag them into the iTunes window. This also requires a manual re-naming of the files: when the voice memo is synced to iTunes, the file name that shows up on the iPod also shows up in the iTunes window (i.e. - date and time of the voice recording). However, if I look at the original sound files in my iTunes library, all of the voice recording files have a weird file name consisting of a long string of numbers. If I copy these original files to another computer and move them into iTunes, the file name remains the long string of numbers, and if I want the original date and time information to appear as the file name, I have to enter it manually.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a more elegant way of saving the same set of voice memos on more than one computer? I haven't had any luck with Apple's KnowledgeBase.
By the way, I tried to see how long the battery would last on a continuous Voice Memo recording -- I got a 4 hour and 40 minute sound file before the iPod shut down (this is in contrast to about 8 hours and 20 minutes of continuous audio playback).
PBear.
