Anybody have this problem with WireTap?

I have recorded some audio from my computer using WireTap and using QT I would play the audio but after playing for a few seconds, it would seem to pause and when the audio returns it would skip some portion of the audio kinda like drop frames on a video. Sometimes the file would play flawlessly so I'm sure what's the trouble here. I'm using G4 1.25 and the file is in a WD ATA100 using the front bay with ATA-66

I haven't had this problem, but I've always either used iTunes to listen to WireTap-created files or burned them to CDs to use in my car.
