I have an iPod and I have about 40 GB of music on it.
Now, I am upgrading from G4 to G5, and would like to be able to transfer my music from the old one to new one via my iPod, but cannot find the way to do it.
Anybody can help me with this? /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You can use your iPod as a hard drive. Do a restore on the iPod to wipe it of all that is on it. Then attach it to your computer but don't allow iTunes to transfer your music to it. Then go to your Home-Music folder and drag your iTunes folder to the iPod and copy it on to the iPod. Then attach your iPod to the new computer and copy the iTunes library to your home-Music folder. Once it's copied you can either do another restore on the iPod or just drag the iTunes folder from your iPod to the trash and then empty the trash. Then you can sync your iPod with the iTunes library on your new Mac.

Check on VersionTracker. There are a number of apps that move music from the iPod to mac. Search using 'iPod' and look through what pops up.

I would suggest doing what Peter said, as it will leave your music organized and you can even take your iTunes playlist with you this way (transfer the iTunes Music Library file).
