I just bought a 20 gig ipod last Thursday.
First day I noticied some black blotches on the screen, not all the time but randomly,
and in different areas. Looks like someone is pushing on it.
Also I think the battery is not getting a full charge.
Yesterday I used it for only 2 hours and then it died.
The store I bought it finally agreed (after much complaining from me)
to replace it.
I have personal info on there my calandar and contact list I want to delete, before I bring it back.
Is there an easy way to erase all the info and music before I exchange it for my replacement?
THanks

I am not certain but I wonder if you can try zeroing the hard drive using disk utility, just as you would with any other hard drives. Open up disk utility and if you see the hard drive for the ipod, you should be able to zero it.
