make sure you get the most recent version of Missing Link, as previous versions have had some problems, and the companies customer service is terrible (you have to e-mail, and wait for them to e-mail you back to get a responses, and that, in my case, took 48 hours...)...then, When they e-mailed me back, they game me a chat link with a name to help me...typing back and forth was ridiculous for what would have been a 32 second telephone answer to my question.
It does not work through iSync, it is a separate program. The data transfer is flawless once you get it all set up properly.

Try PocketMac at www.pocketmac.net. Version 3.0 is out and works quite well. It even allows communication with ipods.

I read on another post that it is called "Missing Sync" so I suppose you are right Apple_boy. How does Missing Sync compare to PocketMac? I read the website of pocketmac.com (thanks stockscalper) and it seemed to be a very good product. In addition, the website had an interesting testimonials feature where you can listen to those who have used it. Is there a comparable site for Missing Sync?

Missing Sync is very similar to PocketMac, but it has less features.
Missing Sync is easier to use than PocketMac, but it only syncs with AddressBook and iCal (plus iPhoto, iTunes, etc.). PocketMac on the other hand, can sync with MS Entourage as well as AddressBook and iCal, but has a less user friendly interface. Also, PocketMac comes with a OS X-style theme to go on the PocketPC. Plus, PocketMac can try to take the CAB file (PPC executable) out of an EXE file to install PocketPC software, which Missing Sync cannot do. However, this feature hardly works.

Well, I researched both of the programs and have found similar results to MacGuide's findings. One other tidbit that I found is that PocketMac gives educational pricing (provided that you present accurate information about the educational institution that you attend) and Missing Sync does not offer this bonus. I still haven't purchased one or the other, but I plan to choose by the end of the month.
MacGuide,
You say that PocketMac's user interface is comparatively less friendly than Missing Sync, would you say that PocketMac is difficult to use for the average person, or are you using that statement as a strict comparison of the two rival programs? I just don't want to spend money on a program that is difficult to figure out, thats all.
