How do you transfer Mac Store bought songs on to a Rio Player? I have been able to transfer songs that I've downloaded from other sources but I can't transfer onto the Rio player the songs that I've bought at the Mac Store. Any tips? Thanks.

You would have to find some way to remove the DRM because currently the iPod is the only player that can play iTMS files in their native form.

What IS DRM? How can I remove it?
Are there any (free) programs available that can do the conversion?

Digital Rights Management. It's the stuff that keeps you from giving the song to all your buddies. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I believe there is software named FairPlay that will do this, but it's a violation of your iTMS usage terms. You can also burn to CD and then rip back into MP3, but there will be quality loss.

I believe the Rio only plays MP3 and WMA files so you will need to convert your protected AAC and unprotected AAC files to MP3 or WMA to play. Unprotected files can be directly converted into MP3s in iTunes. Protected files either have to be burned to CD and reimported into MP3 format or the use of a DRM remover as described above, and then converted into MP3.
