Great news that iTunes has arrived in the UK..but what about us in the Isle of Man. Registration doesn't seem to want to recognise an IM postcode! We're not that alien!

Yep, The IOM is part of the UK, they have some strange rules there though, like no speed limits (allegedly) and being homosexual is against the law. That said, they have the best bike races there and because of that is a great island. I agree, send feedback to Apple to try to get it rectified. What about Northern Ireland? Does the BT post code work?

I think you're out of luck.
I'm showing the Isle of Man is a Crown Dependency and is not considered a part of The United Kingdom. It's not even a member of the European Union.
This information comes from Isle of Man's Official Government Web Site which, I assume, is correct.
So sorry! And, who say's American's don't know what's going outside their own country /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Most Americans don't. Heck, vast swathes of the populace don't even have passports. I will concede that when interest is aroused, our friends across the pond are as informed and educated as the next man (as long as he isn't living in a box with cotton in his ears and a blindfold on /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif). It is also true that there are a hell of a lot of Brits that, should they all disappear, would deprive a lot of villages of a lot of perfectly good idiots. Praxus communicates with their type for fun on the MS worship forums /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Actually, IOM is not part of the UK, it's part of the British Isles or put plainly, Great Britain - and yes, there is a difference between UK and Great Britain.
UK is Scotland/England/Wales/Northern Ireland, Great Britain is the aforementioned AND IOM, and Jersey and Guernsey, and IO Wight - the latter 3 collectively called the Channel Islands since they sit in the English Channel between England and France.
As for NI - we're sorted, and speaking personally, all I had to do was enter my Apple Discussions details and I was accepted - so that MAY be a way of working around the registration problem via the iTunes Store section. Just set up a profile in the Discussions section and see if that works.
