My daughter has a 15 GB IPOD which was working fine yesterday. Today she went to the Itunes site and was prompted to update her software. The download went alright but when she tried to turn on the Ipod she first got the Apple logo then a picture of the connector with an arrow next to it. The Ipod then turns off. I'm not too familiar with this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi ESPearls
I had exactley the same thing happen to me, I took it back to my store and they had to replace it I have heard several people having this problem as well as my self,
I would just take it to your store, but have you tried resetting it press the play and menu buttons together and wait for it to restart.
Good luck

Who do I go to with this problem? The Ipod was purchased 12 months and 2 weeks ago so it is technically out of the warranty period, but the problem seemed to happen after I downloaded the new software. The original purchase was from J & R music world not from Apple directly.

Oh , I would go to your local apple store, and ask, have a nasty feeling it might cost, hopefully one of the moderators, or someone with more knowledge than me, will know what to do

Did you try plugging the iPod into an A/C outlet when the connector icon comes up?
