Airport Security and iPod

Can one take an ipod onboard a plane these days? Will it pass through the xray machines?

You can. I just put mine in the change/key tray they give you.

You can take it on the plane but you CAN'T have it running during take-off but they let you turn it on after they get to crusing altitude. It's like that with most electronic devices though.
