Tunewear announced on Friday its latest product for iPod: Tunemax, a black leather case with Lithium Ion battery cells that provide up to 16 hours of additional power, depending on usage conditions. It features an on/off switch that allows you to dictate when you want it to supply power to your iPod, four LED lights that indicate how much juice it has left and a belt clip. In addition, Tunemax offers a USB port for syncing an iPod with your Mac, and an included mini-round-pin-to-FireWire cable can charge Tunemax from the computer's FireWire port. It's compatible with all iPods, although a sleeve such as Tunewear's Icewear is required to make an iPod mini fit snugly in Tunemax. Pricing was not announced, although Tunewear will display Tunemax at nest week's Apple Expo 2004 in Paris. more
