Beholder 2.0 adds new options for image searches

Mesa Dynamics has released Beholder 2.0, an upgrade to its software for querying different Internet search engines, such as Google and AllTheWeb -- as well as searching iPhoto or your local hard drive -- for images. The application returns the results as thumbnails, complete with URLs and other link details, and this new version offers better handling of those collections. In addition, Beholder 2.0 features QuickOpen thumbnail navigation, the ability to zoom in and out of found images and an XML search engine plug-in format for adding new query tools. Pricing is US$19.95, although Mesa Dynamics doesn't note upgrade costs, if any. A simplified version of the application, Beholder Lite, is available for free. Mac OS X v10.2 is required. more
