When I first got my ipod and then everytime I update it, a error message comes up on screen.
"Some of the songs in the iTunes music library, including the song... were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod."
What's the cause? How can I fix whatever is wrong?

do you know what format the songs are that you got the message about?
Edit...if you have an older ipod and the songs were encoded as "lossless" you will get that message. As far as I know the older ipods cannot play lossless format. I could be wrong, but that is what I read.

It's amazing when you can answer one question with another. Thanks for the reply. Your question sparked me to look at my files and I found a cacauphony of different formats. I now know that you cannot listen to .mp4, .aspx and .mov audio files on your iPod but you can in iTunes. Odd!?!
Thanks Lori!
