Can I use the same ink for different cartridges? Is there such thing as universal ink?
Epson ink levels?

Open your print utility and click on 'Epson Status Monitor'. Just take the time to explore around with it, also you can 'nozzle check', and 'clean the print heads'.
Try them all and see if that helps.
I advise against using cheap ink cartridges, one exploded inside my poor Epson, and I had to perform the most messy q-tip surgery ever done, took a whole box and a box of kleenex.
I just bite the bullet and order the standard Epson ink cartridges from an on line ink supplier, or from my local Mac store.
Yes indeed, they are sure expensive compared to a new printer with new cartridges. Maybe thats why we see so many printers in the dump.
And I tend not to print stuff that I really dont need, though I do want some of my lesson material printed.
Good luck, and I find that I am not unhappy with my dear old Epson Stylus CX5400 scanner/printer combo.

edit/add I forgot to say that there are instructions for Epsons on the web, you might try to Google some and they will explain things a lot better than I can.
I found detailed instructions for phones and all sorts of stuff on the net.

Thanks "Capcode" for your reply. Actually when I was search on Google for got the information on use of printer ink cartridges, I have find out one website from where I got the information on use of "OEM Matched" products. They provide "OEM Matched" products for Epson Printer Ink Cartridges, Hp Inkjet Cartridges and Canon Printer Ink Cartridges.
