Thinking about getting a shuffle for a family member so I can get our big iPod back.
Does the Shuffle handle playlists at all, or is the Shuffle essential one big playlist?
I want to put a couple audiobooks on it plus songs. If there are no playlists, then it would seem to be a good idea to put the audiobooks first to easily access them. I assume that if the iPod is put into Shuffle mode, then the books would get mixed up with the songs, & would have to be skipped if encountered while playing.

Any music/audiobook file on the iPod shuffle is part of one big playlist (there'd be no way to select between multiple playlists even if you could load them).
