Treo 650 launching in UK - latest compatability?

Hi Chaps,
I'm a powerbook user in the UK eagerly awaiting the launch of the Palmone Treo 650 on Orange this month.
I've fiddled with one on many occasions in compusa on my many stateside trips over the last 6 months (why the delay in Europe?!) and it looks the best option as a mac user - as an ex Psion owner I'm not impressed with my Ipaq.
I've followed up a few compatibity threads on this forum and elsewhere but they are all quite old.
Is native syncing now possible using iSync? Using bluetooth or USB?
I want to use the spreadsheet facility on the treo to run a logbook to sync with the mac - I'm an airline pilot. Is that straightforward?
Any warnings, pitfalls or advice would be gratefully received.
And I guess the Nokia 9300 is a non starter?
