Thanks first, it's appreciated to ALL.
This has happened a few times.
I've gone into the finder hit HELP but it doesn't open the page.
I've then gone to HD, Home, User- looked for apple help and come up with 3 files,
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpui.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist
I trashed them, quit everything and restarted. Everything then worked just like it should.
My question is: because this has come back is there more I should or could do and am I doing the correct thing?
Thanks again,
Peter

Peter,
You are doing the correct thing. Mac OS X help sucks in my opinion. Run OnyX on a regular basis to run your basic utilities such as repair permissions, but it also has an option to Reset Help. Basically deletes the files you listed above.

Thanks Frisco for your time. I'll look into it.
