ARRRGGHH! I'm at my wits end with this one.
My workplace has a Ricoh Aficio 1060 that does NOT have a postscript card. Every stinking windows machine in the place can print to this bad boy but me and my Powerbook. I'm the only Mac user in an office of windows machines. I have been able to get it to print out garbled sheets, but that's it. I've tried everything I can think of. Even different drivers I found online. I have the right IP address, have tried LPR and IP protocol, Windows printing...EVERYTHING I can think of to no avail. My IT guy is clueless when it comes to Macs. They won't spring for the postscript card either. I asked. Is it possible to print to this thing, or not?
I have a aluminum PB running Tiger 10.4.2 (as of today).
Thanks for ANY help on this matter

For driver use HP Laserjet 5 Series, Gimp-Print.
For IP > LPD printing, You (usually) need the printer's queue name as well as the IP address. If they have unix/linux setup instructions, it'll be in there. But since you got some garbage, it's probably just the driver problem.
Good luck.

It's not so much the links that is the important part, it's the type of driver that you use. Change the driver on your Mac to the HP LaserJet 5. We have several of the Ricoh machines in our office and this is the only driver that works.
