i'm running os 10.3.9 on a mac g4 grey tower. i've got a la cie dvd drive that i installed myself. i had no problems with it while i was running 10.2.xwhatever, but since installing panther, every single time i start or restart the dvd drive pops open.
mostly it's just annoying, but where it starts to be a big problem is not being able to start from a cd, for example wanting to run diskwarrior.
i've tried resetting the PRAM (it's all i can think of) but it's not helped.
has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Look in accounts and startup items. Your problem might be there.

This can be caused by the computer thinking that the mouse button is held down.
You might look into disconnecting mice and USB devices to see if it resolves your issue.
