Greetings fellow Mac users:
I just a couple of months ago got a refurbished mini and installed OS 10.4 (since upgraded to 10.4.3).
When I was using Safari as my browser, I had no problem viewing pics on iPhoto that were downloaded off the web.
However, I have since switched to Firefox, and I cannot get any photos downloaded through that to open. In iPhoto, I press Apple-O, go into the directory where I placed the photos, and click on the files I want (or the folder) and press "Import."
However, I get an error message saying the files are "unreadable files" and "unrecognizable file type or may not contain valid data'
OMG!!!
Also, I moved all my photo files from super-confusing dated subfolders (that were created automatically by Safari) to a single, simple directory, and now I cannot open any file - even the ones I could before.
We're talking JPEGs, people. They ALL open in preview. Also, I have one set of photos imported via a memory stick, and they will not open in iPhoto either. I get the same error message.
I am going bananas over this please help!! And don't tell me the solution is to place my photos in dated subfolders. I hate those.
