As an alternative to editing at the command line, couldn't you instead, use Property List Editor, installed with the developer tools? This app makes it really simple for, even the CLI challenged, /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif to edit a plist file.

Good tip, and thanks much!
As an aside: IMHO, those customized Terminal window colors have to be some of the most jarring I've ever seen. At least it wasn't a pink screen with green text, but all the same I'm sure I overloaded a few rods and cones in there somewhere. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The article contains a factual error - you can't select all the images in a folder and have them appear in the slideshow if the number of images exceeds a certain value (~132 IIRC). Only those first 132 will be displayed in the slideshow which makes it pretty useless for more than a quick glance at just a few images IMO. What is desperately needed is for the index sheet to stretch to more than one page so that you can select as many images as you like and view them all.

hi there -- any idea where Slideshow settings are in 10.5+? SlideshowConfig.data no longer exists...

Easy, if you want the photo finder slideshow to slow down, just COPY whatever folder contents you are trying to 'show' and paste back into the same folder!
1 pic = 1.5 secs screen time
2 x pics the same = 3 secs
1 pic = 1.5 secs screen time
2 x pics the same = 3 secs
