Has the size of your Services menu gotten out of hand? Here’s a utility that finally lets you put your house in order. [more]

This is a great idea. I wonder if once Apple sees this app it will show up upon release of OS X (10.5) in the Applications/Utilities directory, i.e. iService Manager.

Didn't you guys run an article on this a couple months back? That's how I found out about it and started using it! Is this an update of that article, or a rerun?

The original article notified people of the product's existence. This is a review of the product.

Thanks for this article and recommendation. It finally gave me a way to get rid of the Chinese Text Converter service and the duplicative "make sticky note" service and a bunch of others I never use. It also let me easily re-set the keyboard shortcuts for most of my services, including weeding out some that duplicated others I used more. Now, I have a streamlined, easier to use services menu and my most-used Services commands (e.g. "email selection," "open selection in TextEdit," "open URL," etc.) finally have appropriate keyboard shortcuts. I use the Services menu all the time, and this will save me several minutes each day. Thanks to the columnist and the developers.

It would make more sense to have it in System Preferences somewhere. Maybe just a new pref: "Services" There could also be a "Open Services" item in the menu to open the System Pref. You know, like in the AirPort or Date menu extra.

Weird: My service menu shows "ChineseTextConverter", but it doesn't show up in ServiceScrubber.
