Now that I have installed iPhoto 6 and upgraded my photos, whenever I want to run a slideshow, I press play and a dropdown appears which has settings for the show and a music tab. However, the music tab always fills in "Play music during slideshow." You can uncheck the box, save settings, and the next time you play, it resets to music on. I found nothing in preferences that will keep the box unchecked. I have eliminated the plist, hoping that that was the problem, but it continues to check the box and has to be manually unchecked. It does retain the selected music, but I still have to uncheck the box each time. Does anyone have any ideas?

-Hi,
In reply to:

You are right. Never noticed that before, but the 'Mute' key on the keyboard is handy. Not a fix, but more of a workaround..
Maybe -Toad, the iPhoto Guru will poP in with a 'real' fix.. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What I've done is to go inside the iPhoto application package and remove those files from the Music folder. The path is iPhoto/Contents/Resources/Music. If you want to save those tracks must add it to iTunes. iPhoto will still open with the play music selected but there won't be any music to play. Don't delete the folder, just empty it.

Thanks, Old Toad. Your solution seems a bit much for something that should be retained in iPhoto, but I appreciate the effort of figuring out the work around.
