I've got many photos on my iMac on even more on my PowerBook. I just recently purchased an external HD and I want to create a new library that contains all the photos from both computers. I would just copy the originals, but I have edited many of the photos so that adds complexity to it all. Any ideas?
thanks,
ed

Use "Import to the library" command. Your modified photos are already stored in your iPhoto library folder. You can either connect one machine to the other via FW Target mode or simply copy the iPhoto Library folder on the external drive and then connect this drive to the second machine.

If you want to merge your two libraries and maintain the keywords, rolls, and other metadata they you'll need the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager. It is currently the only way to do that. It will also bring over the edited version.

That advice was PERFECT. I take my AIr on vacations and Pro is in the office. The two have totally different iPhoto libraries and i needed them to be combined. This software (iPhoto Library Manager) is wonderful and SO WORTH the $20 it cost. Thank you so much for the advice. Bob
