Itunes disc burning problems Unknown error(4000) is associated with the windows XP version of Itunes. This is a windows problem not a Itunes problem. The problem that your having is this one; Your ide drivers are not correct. For example you installed windows XP and then your driver disc. Your drivers disc for your motherboard contained a nvidia ide driver so you installed it. Now you can't burn anything either from Nero or Itunes. This is how you correct your problem. Go to the control panel then into system then into hardware then into device manager. When your list of devices show up into the window goto the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller. Open this by hitting the plus sign. If it gives you anything but, Primary IDE Channel, Secondary IDE Channel, and possibly Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller, then uninstall it by doing a right mouse click on the driver under IDE ATA/ATAPI controller. Then restart windows and let windows put its own drivers in place. You should then have in the IDE ATA/ATAPI controller this: Primary IDE Channel, Secondary IDE Channel, and possibly Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller. Then try Itunes or any other burning software and you should be good to go. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
