FreeVerse delivers the oft-promised sequel to the 2001 top-down scrolling arcade game. Does this latest version of WingNuts live up to the hype that's built during the half-decade wait? [more]

Has anyone seen this in any brick and mortars yet? Not really interested in downloading, but would like to pick it up.

It's not in retail stores yet, but should be in the next few weeks.

Peter--what's your opinion on how well (or not) this game would work on a PowerMac G4 733mhz? Could you "dial back" the effects so that it would run acceptably? I am running Tiger & my 733 does all I ask of it & I really enjoy these types of games.

I lowered the detail and texture settings to low and was surprised to find the game (at least the first 2 levels) play just fine on my old G3 700 MHz iBook with 384 MB of RAM and 16 MB Radeon graphics. You can download the demo and try it yourself here http://www.freeverse.com/wn2/

I played the demo, it's not bad. The download was a bit much however. It's definitely a title I would want to get on disc.

I tried using my Joystick but the game doesn't see the device, it's a Wingman attack 2 by Logitech.

I have a "Rumblepad 2" that worked well in my Windows days. The game seemed to recognize it, and I painstakingly set all the commands one-by-one, but the game crashes when I try to start. I haven't figured out how to get my gamepad to work with any game.

This game is EPIC!!! Although you want to be careful with Wingnuts & Bolts. I tried to make a copy of the original scenario so I could play as the rogues, but a lot of stuff got deleted and it takes hours to save your scenario file.
