Contacted my friend who works at Apple.. ordered a Macbook 2.0 with 80gb drive.. came to around 1200.00 after tax /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats my man.....Just got mine also last sat..Love it.....will love it even more once i find out how to play .wmv files though lol.....great machine.

Yup.. first Mac.. .I've been a 'hardcore' PC loyalist for the last 10+ years, but I've been hearing some great things about the Intel based Macbooks lately, and am really excited to get it. Hopefully it'll run iTunes a little better than my PC!

You will LOVE the MacOS!!
I work in windoze all the time, but I LOVE coming home to my Mac.
Now, since I just bought this MB last week, I won't have to wait to come home!! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

yea i recieved my macbook pro last monday and I have never been happier. I must say that all the mac users i've known over the years were correct in saying its better than windows. And if I ever do need to run a windows program I have parallels and bootcamp!! I love the macbook pro, I suggest anyone thinking about gettng a laptop to get a mac.

I found a sick deal on a fully decked out mac, just waiting to buy it after the apple conference though, and if nothin new comes, it'll be in my room =P.

If you are forced to use WMV files, Flip4Mac allows you to modify QT to play them.

my beautiful white macbook 2.0 showed up yesterday... :drool:.... very nice! The small screen is taking some getting used to.. my 2 year old HP laptop has a bigger screen, but I can deal /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Now it's just a matter of getting used to the Mac OS, and what all the programs are that are loaded on it.
Pretty cool... I wanna take today off work so I can stay home and play with it! (but I won't)
