Do these people picket Xerox and HP? How do you dispose of an old laser printer?

Of course they do. It too is well documented. They target a company for awhile, then move on to another. Standard practice.

Yeah, Apple Computer is now Apple Inc. - tons of confidence that their focus is on the computer and not the gadget. Yeah, there's a digital hub strategy, but the center is you not the Mac - and when Apple can sell you $1000 worth of gadgets that cost $500 to make, or a computer that costs $1000 and $800 to make - which - as a businessman - do you think they want you to buy?
Like I said, good for "Apple the company" - and I guess that's Apple Inc. now.

Well, unless Cingular coverage has improved here, I'm shut out of the phone.
That's the good news: I won't have to think about it.

Well, it's over. No mention of Leopard, no iLife or iWork updates. The new iPhone and AppleTV were basically the whole keynote. Sorry, but that seems kind of lame to me. Granted, those are both big products, but I'm still disappointed. Nothing they intro'd has any relevance to me personally. Hopefully lots of other people will buy these products though.

This was my feeling as well. I was really hoping for an iLife update. What I came away with was two new products. Great as they are, they do not really offer much for me. And I do not think Apple should hold up their Mighty Mouse as some kind of revolutionary device as the click wheel. They still never made a mouse better than what others had done already. Their method of clicking irritates and prolongs RSI pain.

Well he did say that OS X was going to be on the iPhone, so he might have said something about Leopard, which will presumably be released before the iPhone and installed on it, not to mention those other things Apple sells.

No Cingular, but Rogers is the only GSM provider in Canada and they have the Motorola products so I would expect an easy launch in Canada, the only holdup would be the backend solutions. Still no video on iTunes Canada (TV and Movie I mean).

The iPhone's going to be perfect for me. My Cingular contract's up in August so I'll grab an iPhone then.
I won't have to carry my Palm, my iPod, and my phone around any more. I understand some of you aren't entirely happy, for a variety of reasons, and respect that, but I think the iPhone will hit a sweet spot for millions of people. And it runs OS X. I can't wait to see it.

OK, then resurrect Power Computing to take over the Macintosh line. Let Apple have fun with their little "upper middle class" toys. (no sour grapes, but the toys do not do anything for me).

Sorry, nothing personal. If it wasn't you, it was going to be someone else eventually.

Yourself included. Complaining about people complaining at even the hint of disappointment.

I am disappointed. I was hoping for an announcement of the release date for Mac OS X 10.5 today. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

There you go...as predicted, right on schedule.
It does not matter matter WHAT Apple announces, somebody will find a way to be disappointed. Apple could announce the immediate availability of world peace and prosperity for all eternity, and someone will say, in all seriousness, "What, no new iWork?"
Amazing.

It does not matter matter WHAT Apple announces, somebody will find a way to embrace the hype. Apple could announce the immediate availability of new Flower Power iPod Socks, and someone will say, with great enthusiasm, "Most exciting announcement ever!"
Amazing.
