So, does anyone know where we'll be able to find the video of this keynote? For dl preferably? and also when Steve refers to availability does he mean, like some Americans, North America when he says the U.S? I'm in Canada and really hoping for this sooner than later.
Edit added commas for clarity.
Also...I don't think Cingular is available in Canada after a little looking!!!!!!

There you go...it does not matter matter WHAT Apple announces, somebody will find a way to be disappointed. Apple could announce the immediate availability of world peace and prosperity for all eternity, and someone will say, in all seriousness, "What, no new iWork?"
Amazing.

So is it over? Is that all?
I know the keynote was supposed to be not-about-the-Mac, but has Apple said anything (outside of Steve's presentation) about apps updates yet, such as the expected iLife and iWork updates?

Uh... wasn't COMPLAINING, thanks. Just asking if the keynote was over. And, since I knew from Jobs' comment at the outset that the Mac wasn't going to be discussed, I was curious to know if Apple had released any kind of press release or other statement regarding apps.
I'm not looking for Apple's abject failure under every product announcement; please don't look for implied criticism in every thread post with a question in it.

Well, since it will hit the US in June and Europe in Q4, it's a safe bet it will be in Canada some time between those two dates (if not simultaneous with the US release). Do they have Cingular in Canada?

COMPLAINT FORM
Check one of the "following":
Apple has lost focus
The iPhone is too expensive
The iPhone has only 5 hours of battery life
The iPhone uses the Cingular network
The iPhone holds as much as the Nano but costs ten times as much
The iPhone is a glorified Blackberry
The iPhone screen will crack
Steve Jobs has lost focus
No new iPods
No new Macs

Well, it's over. No mention of Leopard, no iLife or iWork updates. The new iPhone and AppleTV were basically the whole keynote. Sorry, but that seems kind of lame to me. Granted, those are both big products, but I'm still disappointed. Nothing they intro'd has any relevance to me personally. Hopefully lots of other people will buy these products though.

I'm sure there will be a phone less version soon.
We cannot even get Cingular up here in 49931. In fact, half the places up here cannot even get a signal. So, I dumped my $60/month Cell One plan a year or two ago and switched to a $14 Tracfone with a $99/yr plan becuase I was not getting enough use out of it. About the only time I use it is for travel and groceries. With the availability of Skype-out, I do not even use it for travel now, except in the airport.
I like the video and wireless web part.
I did not think the price was too bad considering what it does, and that there is NOTHING out there in terms of competition.

Ho, boy...the complaints are gathering like thunder...."$600 for a 8GB device that has 5-hour battery life? NO THANKS. I'll keep my iPod and non-Cingular cell phone thankyouverymuch."
Apple might indeed be doomed.

I think you are wroing. MacRumors live said 5 hours and 16 hours for just audio. I'm sure that phone standby is going to much higher.
If you pull it out and start surfing the internet, or editing files and basically working from it, then 5 hours. If you just listen to music 16 hours. If you use it more as a phone, then it's got to be longer. But then again, with all this on it, who will limit it to a phone? So, yeah, you might be a bit right.
Too bad for you, but it's going to be a great product for me!

Sorry, nothing personal. If it wasn't you, it was going to be someone else eventually.

I'm glad AppleTV and iPhone were announced and described, but I really wanted to hear more about Leopard's super-secret features and release date.
I guess Jobs can always hold a surprise keynote in a month or two.
Also, I really don't like Cingular and now I'll half go back to them.
