How do I save multiple PDFs as one PDF file?

I plan on scanning multiple documents into PDF format and would like to group them (in the page order I decide) into one PDF file. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
As you can tell, I'm new to Macs!

That Automator trick is pretty neat; I didn't know about that.
I personally use a great program called PDFpen, which lets you do all kind of PDF editing. It's perfect for merging or re-arranging pages.
