The people over there at LinoType are on the ball ...I would expect updated plugins within a month

Update:No "official" word yet on a release date, but the "unofficial FontExplorer X forums" have a thread going about CS3 auto activation in which the last poster claims to have been told by Linotype that we can expect it in 8 weeks. Other posts in the thread claim that the Illustrator CS2 plugin still works with Illustrator CS3, but the InDesign CS2 plugin does NOT work with ID CS3.

I was getting ready to purchase the upgrade to CS3 but then spotted the info in the article about Suitcase Fusion not being ready yet. This is a BIG deal for me and the thousands of fonts I own, so I'm holding off until Extensis gets the new CS3-compatible Suitcase out the door. Otherwise I'd end up having to install all my fonts in the system's fonts folder, or in InDesign's fonts folder, which I believe would make them unavailable to Illustrator and Photoshop.I think the new top bar is a gem--not having to switch between character and paragraph settings will be a godsend. I can't wait, but I'll just have to until Suitcase Fusion is compatible.

Iwdesign,The only part of Suitcase Fusion that doesn't yet work with ID CS3 is the AUTO-ACTIVATION. You can still use Suitcase to manage your fonts, it's just that when you need to activate a font, you'll have to quit ID and restart it for it to show up. So all is not lost.
