If you don't know what that is, it's an extremely useful feature where your document never actually gets covered by an expanded panel dock. In Photoshop, go into Maximize mode and then click open the panel dock on the right to show all the panels at once and your active documents boundaries auto resize to fit the new space. Why this is not in InDesign CS3 is a total mystery to me.
Also, I'm STILL waiting for Photoshop's scrubby sliders to make their way into the REST of the creative suite. So far, they seem to be the sole domain of the PS developers for reasons that I'll never understand. Actually grabbing a slider with your pointer seems so outdated to me, it drives me crazy.

-----------
Have you tried pressing CommandOption=?
This will center and fit your selected item(s) into view. It's not exactly perfect though. Sometimes it doesn't fit that tight leaving more space around the selection than I feel is necessary.
