hey i have a macbook pro 17" and i installed battlefront and most levels work fine but the levels with alot of detail like with buildings and forests make the game run quite choppy and i dont understand why as prey works brilliantly on my mac and the mac is more powerful than an xbox and battlefront came out for the xbox so why does it run slow on my mac? i had the details on medium and some on low and turned down the draw distance and it still ran choppy. is there anything i can do to make ir run better?thanks

Probably because Star Wars Battlefront isn't a Universal binary, so it doesn't run natively on the MacBook Pro.

what do you mean by universal binary? so are you saying that altho my mac is powerful enough ,battlefront wasnt really designed for a macbook pro?

Correct. Battlefront was released before Intel Macs were available, and the code isn't designed to run natively on the Intel chips. That creates a very significant performance penalty.

Not necessarily true. Only games that have had Universal versions released take full advantage of the Intel processors. Some older games have had Universal updates released, others have not.
