Looking for an inexpensive, but very protective, laptop sleeve? Brenthaven's MacBook Sleeve fits the bill. [more]

I've been using this as my sole bag for about 2 months and I really love it. Mine actually came with a flimsy strap (which I promptly threw out and replaced with a sturdier one). After carrying around tons of 'just in case' crap for years, I decided that 95% of the time, I only needed my laptop, a pen, some headphones, and maybe a point-n-click camera or a spare cable/travel mouse some of the time. This fits just that and keeps other stuff from piling up. It is very slim and has an ultra-low profile. While other colors would be nice, I suspect the price would have to go up, which nobody wants.

This might be in the running to replace my basic InCase sleeve.
I have a Tom Bihn Smart Alec backpack with a Brain Cell for my MBP, but there's days that all I carry is my MBP without the backpack and all. The InCase sleeve is nice but doesn't offer any pockets whatsoever. This would be a nice replacement.

I love Brenthaven bags but the picture makes the sleeve look kinda cheap. I had an incase sleeve for my MBP (http://goincase.com/) and I always felt it was too baggy so I bought an Isis Dei memory foam sleeve (http://isisdei.com/) and have loved it (besides that fact that it doesn't have any pockets or straps).

Note that since this article was written, Brenthaven has designed a new version of the case:

I've been testing it for a few weeks, and I like it better than the original; it looks better, to boot. I'll be covering it in a future case review.
