iPhone Password Manager?

Has there been any hint of an application for iPhone that would serve as a secure password manager? I've been loyal to Palm for years, but am considering the iPhone switch. If I understand correctly, I can find equivalent iPhone applications for most of my daily use Palm applications except passwords.
PALM -> IPHONE
Calendar -> iCal
Contacts -> Address Book
CryptInfo (password manager) -> ???
Memos -> Notes?
Tasks -> Mail To-do?

I'd really be interested in knowing the possibility of a password manager (vault) on the iphone as well. I don't know what I'll do w/o one.

I've created a document which I keep inside my web-based e-mail server which contains all important passwords. Then all I have to remember is my server password, and can get access to the others.
Another idea is to store passwords inside a "drafts" or "spam" folder on your iPhone (perhaps burying them inside the text of a spam e-mail). As long as you have the iPhone code-protected, it should be reasonably secure.
Admittedly both ideas are a bit awkward, but are temporary work-arounds until we get something like Keychain Access for the iPhone.

Something you can do that's less awkward is have a javascript bookmarklet that generates your passwords for each website. (They still work in iPhone's Safari). I can push one button to fill in my password on pretty much every website. I wrote about setting it up on my blog at http://arko.net/2007...hain-equivalent.

I was in the exact same boat, I've been using PalmOS or years. And CryptoPad to store my information.
Luckily though I'm a developer. So I wrote a full solution to the problem. jkPassword.com will manage all your passwords/info. It is designed to have the look and feel of a real iPhone application (ie, it doesn't look so good in a regular browser).
All the data is encrypted on the iPhone in Javascript. So what is stored on my server is just the encrypted data. Goto jkPassword.com and click "How does it work?" for more information.
I'll also be glad to answer any questions you may have here...

There is an experiment going on now involving 1Passwd . They are working on a mobile version for the iPhone. How this will work, I don't know. Their newsletter will have more details as they become available.
Possible scenerios discussed in their forums included storing your data on your dotmac space (not everyone has) or on their own servers, albeit encrypted. The encryption would be handled on the iPhone itself. Again, this is all speculation on my part and involves no insider information.

I am waiting for the 1Passwd solution. I have been using 1Passwd on my Macbook and it is great.
It's the #1 thing missing from my iPhone.

We just released a BETA version of 1Password 2.5 which includes an Export to iPhone feature. You can see this thread in our forum for details on how to get it.
It is a beta, so there is some polish missing. The biggest issue at present is that once you have more than a hundred items, the performance degrades. We're working on that /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just wanted to add that the second beta fixed the performance problems and 1Password iPhone application is very fast.
It is a Javascript application based on specially designed Safari bookmark and does not require hacking the iPhone. It can also be used on iPod Touch.

I plan on giving it a shot this weekend... can't wait!
Does it integrate itself into Safari like it does for Safari on a mac (I'm guessing no) or is it just a way to check what your passwords are?

No, there is no integration at this point. Sadly, we cannot add a Safari extension the way it is done on the desktop.

I just posted a blog entry detailing how 1Password for iPhone works, and included plenty of screenshots:
http://switchersblog...rd-manager.html
We tried hard to make it look like a native app, even though it is really a bookmarklet (i.e. a webpage that is embedded into a bookmark).

Just an update.
While the 1Password iPhone Safari Bookmarklet is still available, there is a native 1Password application for iPhone:
