Hi,
I am considering purchasing Keynote, but I have a question first. Can I import a Keynote file into Power Point. I ask because I work in groups that will not be using it. I am guessing that the answer is no, but I just wanted to check.
Thankx!

Based on Apple's description of the software, Keynote has bidirectional compatibility with Powerpoint. That's why I would consider buying it.

Cool!
Can anyone verfy that they can actually see the transitions?

I have it ... you can indeed save as PowerPoint. But you won't get the coolest transitions, as they are done with OpenGL and PowerPoint has no support for that. Most of the rest should work, but I've also heard that if you move files back and forth, you'll corrupt them.
If you intend to work with PowerPoint, it might be worth waiting for version 1.1, although used alone, 1.0 is quite impressive!

I wish I had a use for Keynote. It sounds like a great app.

Heck, I think making a presentation to your wife or kids or friends about what you want to do this weekend is enough justification for Keynote ... it's an excellent sucker of free time /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
