The phone, iPod, and Internet features on the iPhone grab the headlines (and rightly so). But don't overlook the visual aspects of the iPhone experience. Christopher Breen takes you on a tour of the photo, camera, and YouTube features. more

I was talking to our IT guy who's assigned to work on Macs, and he said if the iPhone can sync with Exchange and if they could disable the camera, then the iPhone would be welcome in our company. Our research lab doesn't allow cameras (except mine).

I feel like it might be worth mentioning that you recieve different quality YouTube videos depending on whether you are connected via EDGE or WiFi.

I bought a black MacBook when they first came out. One year later, the same product now sports faster Core 2 Duo processors, with twice as much hard drive space and twice as much RAM, for the same price (cheaper if you account for inflation).
So why would I buy an iPhone now?

Just going out on a limb here, but maybe to actually use the phone for the next year vs. not use them for the next year.

Heh, yeah it's like "So then why would you ever buy any high-tech product made by anyone?"

I'm just tickled that for his screenshot for YouTube playback Chris chose one of my favorites, Nora the Piano Playing Cat. I mean, if you're not going to play Sons of Butcher...

Couldn't Apple just sell a version of the iPhone that does not have a camera and does not require the user to have an iTunes store account?

I was more amused that in the YouTube screenshot, it says "No Service" in the upper left-hand corner. Guess AT&T has some work to do to make their network a little more reliable...

Actually you'll have to cut AT&T some slack there. I live in a valley in the boonies and while it has countless advantages one of its very few disadvantages is that I live in a cellular black hole. No carrier -- not Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile --provides service here.
