Is there anyway to fix this issue?
When I click on an a post, it always comes up either in the middle or the end. Never at the beginning. This is driving me nuts!

Yes it is. I didn't post under that one because I am not using Chimera. But it doesnt seem to matter which browser you are using...it is a pain!

Hi cashbo,
It can be annoying, when you come to a thread where you have not read any of the posts prior.
But its a great feature if you have been following a thread all along and just want to read the posts since you last where there.

I agree it "could" be a great feature....if it worked.

It works correctly only sometimes, which is very frustrating. When it works correctly, it's great! Unfortunately, that isn't usually the case.

I'm just getting this topic to the top again because it is getting more annoying by the day and the onlline staff hasn't responded yet.

I'm glad you did, because today seems to be a particularly "bad" day for the problem. Two ways. First, today it is taking me to the supposedly correct place in the thread, when in my case at least I'd rather quickly review what's been said previously before getting into the new stuff. Some days it doesn't do even this much, however.
But second, for some reason the [I'll call it] post-read-counter isn't correct. Instead of indicating that in many cases I haven't read the thread at all, as in 16 total replies and (16) since last visit to thread a feature I really like a lot in the new forum format it is showing things like 16 (2) even though I've not visited the thread at all. IOW, it is just showing activity since my most recent visit to the entire forum area. While that's still useful information, it isn't as useful as telling me what I have seen or not seen as an individual.
I hope the Mods will comment.

I honestly have no idea what it's doing. I've forwarded this thread to our technical guy...

Okay, he's turned off this "feature," but you also lose the item showing how many new posts are in a thread.
If people are really, really missing that feature we can ask him to hack up a fix for it.

Hi
I hate to say this, but I don't like this. Anyone else having a "side effect" of this action? Now, it keeps showing thme unread until I quit and restart my browser. Even after I just posted on a topic that no one has posted on for some time. I lived with it no problem the other way. I got use to it. Now, do I have to get use to it again? Sorry, I'm not trying to complain, just saying what isn't helping me now recognize what's new and what isn't.
I guess, we haven't gotten all of the bugs out yet.

Put me down for putting it back the way it was. While I agree it was a bit annoying to drop to the middle of a thread, I want to see how many new replies there are. I can use the mouse or arrow keys to find what I need. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Any way to just show the two counts, without it putting us in the middle or end of the thread? That would work for me, and as I said, I really like the two counts being shown. Their lack was the first thing I noticed when I came online this morning.
