I know that it is possible to include a Powerpoint presentation as a file on the DVD-ROM portion of an iDVD project. But I have a few questions:
Can you somehow make it so that the viewer can "watch" the Powerpoint as a slideshow? Can it be imported to iMovie (even as single images) and converted or something?
Can a button be added to the main menu of the iDVD project that would launch a Powerpoint presentation (if the person watching as Powerpoint)?
Thanks!

It works but it not ideal. You will of course have beter luck with iWorks Keynote.

I figured out that if you open the Powerpoint presentation in MS Powerpoint and select "Save As" you can then save the entire project as jpeg images. Powerpoint gives an option to save every slide as an individual image and even places all of them into their own folder.
Then, in iDVD, select "add slideshow" from the menus and drop the slides into the window.
If the Powerpoint slides are jpegs, you can use them like photos.
It was easier than I thought.
