Ok, now for a serious answer:
- Adobe Photoshop Elements is a nice program to begin learning digital photo manipulation techniques. It's also inexpensive (about $100).
- Graphic Converter has been around forever. Often considered a "poor man's Photoshop". Great shareware at a reasonable cost ($30).
- Google SketchUp is a great free 3D modeling program.

What? You mean Apple doesn't provide a free paint software program with each iMac? :confused:

Never mind. Photo Studio was what I was looking for. Thanks anyway. The video was hilarious. And no, I wasn't fooled.

ArtRage 2.2 is hands down the best free painting program for the Mac.

per version tracker, it looks like this app (the one cited b4 artrage) cannot run on os x 10.3 something, which is what I have (ibook powerpc)

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

* Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
* Mac OS X 10.5 PPC
* Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
* Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
