Have discovered while visiting misc. web sites an apparent error in the way the iPhone browser reads some data on various pages. It apparently sees some items on the page as erroneous underlined linked phone numbers and will actually attempt to dial the number if the link is touched.
Have noticed this in two instances so far:
1) while viewing my retirement acct statement, the number of shares, (for example, 111.3333) appears underlined in the iphone browser view.
2) A date (such as 2006-2007) also seems to trick the iphone into thinking its a linked phone number.
Anyone know if this a known bug?!
Makes me a bit nervous especially while viewing my financial info because I accidently dialed a few erroneous "phone number" links before I figured out what was happening and am now wondering if my acct is vulnerable to being hacked into this way...
