I've just upgraded to Ilife 08 and don't seem to be able to launch iDVD anymore, it just bounces once in the dock.
I've tried re-installing it again and even tried re-installing the 06 version again from the OS install discs all to no avail. Could anyone help please? I'm new to Macs.
Many thanks

Lewis

Open the Console application (in Apps -> Utils) and click the Logs button. Check system.log and console.log for any iDVD-related messages.
Also try running it as a new user and see what happens.

Thanks for your quick reply Rob,
The log contains this message:

You're missing some key framework; I would suggest perhaps creating a new admin user, logging in as that user, and trying to install iDVD again to see what happens.

I have exactly the same error on my console. The actions listed on Apple Support site cant fix it. Did you make it work eventually?

Unfortunately it does not work. I have tried to install it from my root superuser obtaining the same error. I can not believe it!. I have also lost my iDVD app.

Finally I solve the problem!!!
Just install Prokit.framework package from the original Mac OS install DVDs using Pacifist application and evertything will work.
Enjoy!
