Iphone Wifi connection

I bought a I phone and I have verizon DSL wireless modem from actionec model # G704-WG, I can see my wireless connection but after putting my password I get a message: can not connect to wifi .... if I use a wireless ruoter from linksys I have no problem with it... any Ideas?

Just a quick question : your DSL wireless modem : does it have any kind of security built-in or configured to only accept only some connection based on the MAC Ethernet ID ?
I know that you can configure an Apple Airport station to only accept connection for trusted machine and you enter then MAC Ethernet ID, so even if someone has the password, they will not be able to join the network because they're not in the authorized list.

thaks for your reply my Iphone was defective I got anew new and it work fine
