Hello
Within a short time my iphone will be in my hands but locked.
I have read several tutorials where iTunes and mac os10.4 are used to activate unlock and install native apps.
I am using 10.3.9 and then new iTunes features are not available to me.
I will not be upgrading until the next revision which is Leopard 10.5 .
To use the phone I presume i have to do some sort of faux activation, select my own preferred sims and operators and install the files i would like to use.
iFuntastic 3.03 operates under Panther (10.3.9) but not sure if it will connect to the iphone.
I dloaded and installed the 1.02 firmware in iTunes at the path specified in iFuntastic.
Assuming this does work can someone walk me and no doubt other mac Panther users through activation unlock install or please write these apps as universal and operate under panther as well.
Or as last resort command line instruction tutorial /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
iActivator v1 and 1.14 do not work under panther.
iNdepenence does not work under Panther.
AppTap appears to work under Panther.
Seeking gui solution

I hear the ice cracking under your feet - tread carefully with the non-sequitur approach to get your iPhone up and running.

I suggest you find someone with a 10.4 system with iTunes at 7.4 and activate your phone that way - I've heard you don't have to be on your own computer (that said I'd probably create a new account on the 10.4 machine so you don't screw up anyone's iTunes library).

Hello
True, a reasonable solution to find another mac, but probably unworkable.
I really do require assistance with activation. I am quite confident I have unlock and install solutions.

What is a smokescreen? Still not a solution to be honest.

simply restore + update with 1.1.1 and you'll be fine
