"Camera Roll" doesn't scroll smoothly

Has anyone else noticed that photo preview in the "Camera Roll" album on the iPhone does not scroll smooth-as-butter like the other albums? Or is this just on my device?
Thanks

mine works fine. did you check your settings? maybe it's set to another swiping function? don't think that would be it, but you never know.

It's actually not the swipe from left-to-right, right-to-left, etc, that is the problem. That works great when viewing each photo individually. What I'm having problems with is the Thumbnail or "Grid" View.
For example, I have like 80 photos in my Camera Roll Album (pics I took with the iPhone), and when I flick/scroll Up and Down through the Thumbnail Preview page, it doesn't scroll "smooth-as-butter" like the thumbnail preview pages from other "Synced" albums. This only occurs with the "Camera Roll" photo album.
What happens is that while the other Album "Thumbnail" Previews appear as if the thumbnails are actually one long Conatct Sheet that is moving either up or down, the scrolling action of the Camera Roll Thumbnail Preview appears somewhat jerky or hesitant throughout the entire movement, just enough to throw the beautiful illusion off.
Is this normal on everyone else's iPhone....or perhaps I should send mine in for repairs.

(LoL) Yes, iTunes forced a restore after 1.1.1. ...and my phone wasn't even modded! That was a real pesky update: iTunes crashed my computer like seven times before the update finally took. I've never had a significant problem with any of my Macs until then.
It's crazy that the phone acts this way with the Camera Album, but acts normally with any number of other well-populated photo albums. It's done this since Day 1, which for me was around July 9th. At the time I figured it must be normal.
Oh well, I will assume that no one else has experienced this issue. Time to call Apple Support /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Go to your local apple store if you can. They'll probably give you a new phone right there.

The guy at the Genius Bar in the Apple Store checked it out, and was surprised because he'd never seen this issue before. He then pulled out his own iPhone and started snapping away with his camera to fill the Camera Roll album. To his surprise his phone behaved the same way as mine. It appears as if all iPhones scroll through the Camera Album a bit choppy, as compared with the smooth-as-butter scrolling through any other albums you sync from iPhoto. Strangely, if you import the Camera Roll into iPhoto, then resync it back to the iPhone as a new album, it scrolls those same images beautifully. There appears to be something about the way the iPhone generates the thumbnails from the Camera Roll that bottlenecks the presentation.
Anyone concur?

Give me a number of how many pictures to snap. Usually, I have no more than 4 or 5 in that roll, so I guess I never have the need to scroll. For my "real" picture taking, I use my Canon elph. Beats my iPhone hands down any time of day or night. Especially night. ;-)
But post a number and I'll give it a shot (no pun intended) and post back results.

Simply have enough pics in the Camera Roll album to be able to adequately test the scroll. I have like 120 in there right now, but it will work with like 60-80. Just snap away blindly, if you like, to populate it.
Happy snapping /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
