Hey guys,
I'm new to MacWorld and still pretty new to some of the ways. I have a problem. I got a G5 a couple years back. Great product. Not a problem yet. But I just got Mac OS Version 10.4.8 on CD. But when I try to install it, it gives me the black screen of death on reboot, telling me to restart my computer AND a bunch of lines of code (or jargon), ending with "panic: we're just gonna hang here..." or something along those lines. If I wait long enough the fans get loud and I have to eject the CD without any install. It won't even bring up an installation walk-through. PLEASE HELP ME! I can't install Adobe CS3 until this is resolved. Thanks so much!
