I am in Europe on day 5 and realized that all the photos I have taken on my Sony Cybershot, a 7megpix camera, imported to my new MacBook via iphoto and were changed to 360X270 without ever a mention or option to choose. needless to say EVERY PHOTO LOOKS LIKE CRAP and since I selected the delete option after importing from my camera the originals are lost. I have over 2000 photos so far that are only goodenough to view on a microscopic ipod. Basically they are worthless. I am more than upset and would appreciate any expertise in how to retain the original size of my photos. My sole puropse in buying this notebook computer was solely to store my vacation photos. Please help!
Thank you,
Robert

Hmmmm... iPhoto has never had an option to resize the pictures upon import - only Image Capture would be able to do that.
Here's the bad news - once that image data is gone, it cannot be recovered - there's no way for the computer to increase the resolution once that data is gone.
I would check the file resolution options on the camera itself to make sure that it isn't set at a low quality level - you really want to set it at the best compromise of number of pics / quality of pics.
