Help! Just upgraded to 10.4.1

From 10.2.8. My network server is an older computer that is still running OS 8 and now I can't access my Filemaker Pro databases. I keep getting the old "This file server uses an incompatible version of the AFP protocol" error. Can someone tell me in simple terms how to get the old server to connect to my computer?

You can't access an OS8 box from 10.4. You can access 10.4 from a Classic
OS, but that sort of defeats the purpose.
