Google has introduced a new interface for iPhone users who want to use Google's services, such as its search engine, Gmail and Calendar. more

So can I assume this will also work with the iPod touch too?
I don't see why it wouldn't, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks,
Jim

I noticed this yesterday as I went to Google on my iPhone. It was driving me nuts because I wanted to do an image search and didn't understand why I couldn't just go to google.com and click on images! The link at the bottom to switch to classic view was helpful as even images.google.com moves you to images.google.com/m.
This is a very nice and no-nonsense interface for google/m. Pay attention Yahoo.

Simply go to www.google.com and you will note that it behaves as the iPhone.

Thanks. I can't simply go there yet because I am still expecting delivery.
But I assume you have and it does work?

I've been using that interface for MONTHS now on my Windows Mobile 6 phone.
How is this an 'iphone' web app?

Who cares how long it's been out? If it works or responds to iPhone calls, it's an iPhone web app. Google is responding to iPhone users, and that's a good thing for all of us--even you Windoze people.

It works on iPod Touch but it is a clumsy attempt - only half finished. I say that because once I click on a message to view it, I then come to a huge page that does not fit into the iPod window and I can't resize it to view the whole page. I have to scroll around and that is not very friendly.

Thanks for that info.
Hopefully google will work on an entire iPhone/iPod touch/mobile interface.
And in doing so set a precedence.

Looks the same to me on my iPod touch, unless it's iPhone only...

Tom,
I got it this afternoon.
I am syncing it now.
Very nice. I can't wait to play around with it.

Of course it is a Christmas gift for my wife. But I am setting it up.
She just wants things to work.. so I make sure they do.
Luckily for her I love this stuff, always have.
I guess I'll have to be content with my old 5g iPod lol.

I see what happened. I typed in google.com and it bounces me to the .ca site for some reason, which doesn't have the new code. Weird.
