The representative from Rhode Island respectfully makes her presence known...

Did someone delete my previous post? It's blank?

People responded to it, so I'm assuming it was there, but now it's gone.

Can you make a new post in the Alumni Forum? If you click new there is no choice for us, only the first 8 or so forums. something is broken at the moment. I can only reply.

I also noticed our replies aren't showing up in the main forum list anymore. Which doesn't bother me, more private

No, I can't make a new post in here, either. MacCentral Alumni doesn't show up in the drop down menu. Something must be amiss. I also noticed some other blank posts where there used to be something. Guess they're still working out the bugs.

I think i've been ok in this place. I had a bunch of stuff disappear at the old place, about a month ago. All of it was pretty benign. I was just caught up in the moment, being silly with some of the guys. I had a sock puppet wiped out in very short order. I guess it was a sign - over 50: grow up.

Socks tend to get washed, what with IP addresses and all... :-)

I don't think I should have mentioned that other place that some people have been hanging out, though... That's the post that mysteriously vanished. Well, the post is still there, but there's nothing in it now. As long as Google keeps working, I'm OK.

Dang me, Donna. I tried to make a new post, and then found this thing that said "Create". I made a dumb post there and then found out it is a sub forum out on the main floor of MacWorld Forums! I just emailed someone who looked like they might be able to delete it.

In that "Create" forum, I noticed I could place a jpg from my Mac directly in there as a thumbnail and then when you click it, it was a fairy like thing larger that floated over the page. Neat! smile

Now I'm outta here. Too easy to get into trouble while things are not working.

I saw your message when it was there and that's why I responded. Do you think you offended or violated the rules? I hope the punishments are not too severe. . . . I AM kidding smile

Edit: looks like I can still edit here. I couldn't over in "Create"

I'm here.

How did some of you get "Posts since... " and a shows years such as 2001, 2002 etc. are those registration dates carried over from MCF? My registration for MCF is Aug 2001.

This place looks like a new rental. Everything is beige.

Some of us were actually registered on both forums for some time. Different registrations. As you can tell, I haven't had much to say here.

Yeah, both places have different registrations.

I haven't posted here a lot because the email notification system here has always been a pain.
